বংশাল সাইকেল, সাইকেল পার্টস, ও হোন্ডা পার্টস এর পাইকারী দোকানের জন্য বিখ্যাত। বংশালে প্রায় ৯০টি সাইকেলের পাইকারী দোকান রয়েছে। সারা বাংলাদেশের সাইকেল ও সাইকেলের যন্ত্রাংশ এখান থেকে সরবরাহ হয়। রকমারী এসব সাইকেলের দোকানে প্রতিদিন দেশের বিভিন্ন অঞ্চলের লোকজনের বিপুল সমাগম ল্য করা যায়। সাইকেলের দোকান ছাড়াও এখানে প্রায় ১৫০টি মটর বাইকের খুচরা যন্ত্রংশের পাইকারী দোকান রয়েছে। সারা দেশের সব মডেলের মটর বাইকের সকল খুচরা যন্ত্রাংশ এখানে পাওয়া যায়। কয়েকটি বিখ্যাত ইলেক্ট্রনিঙ্ কোম্পানীর শো-রুমও আছে এখানে। এছাড়া অন্যান্য প্রচুর সংখ্যক দোকান রয়েছে এখানে। যেমনঃ মুদি দোকান, ষ্টেশনারী, ষ্টীল, রড-সিমেন্টের দোকান, সব্জি, মাংস ইত্যাদি।
বংশালের আল রাজ্জাক রেষ্টুরেন্ট ঢাকার বিখ্যাত। প্রতিদিন বিপুল সংখ্যক লোক এই রেষ্টুরেন্টে খেতে আসে। বংশালের অলি গলিতে অনেকগুলো বাহারী ডিজাইনের মসজিদ দেখা যায়। এ থেকে বুঝা যায় এই এলাকার মানুষ অত্যন্ত ধর্মপ্রাণ।
