Growth encompasses both fixed resources, such as urban growth, and unlimited resources, such as intellectual or spiritual growth. Often, the line between the two is blurred.

How Wikipedia around the World defines Growth (add your language)

English: Growth refers to an increase in some quantity over time. The quantity can be physical (e.g., growth in height, growth in an amount of money) or abstract (e.g., a system becoming more complex, an organism becoming more mature).

Spanish (Crecimiento poblacional): Population growth or demographic growth is the change in population over time, and can be quantified as the change in the number of individuals in a population using “time unit” as a measurement.

Chinese (成长): Growth is the development over time towards satisfaction (maturation).

German: Growth is the increase over time of certain parameters.
